The availability of favorited classes depends on the teachers. If a class is deleted, it will also be deleted from your "Favorites" page. If a class is deactivated, it will be removed from your "Favorites" page but will reappear if the teacher activates the class again. Teachers maintain full control over the availability of their classes.
Clever is a single sign-on platform used by many schools and school districts to simplify access to educational apps and resources with one set of login credentials.
If you are unable to log in with your Clever credentials through the Clever button on our login page, it likely means your school or district is not yet partnered with ClassForThat. We recommend emailing us at hello@classforthat.com with your school or district details. You might also suggest to your school administrators that they add ClassForThat to your Clever dashboard by contacting us at the same email. This will enable seamless access for you and your peers.
Using Clever allows students and teachers from partnered schools and school districts to log in to ClassForThat quickly and securely without needing to remember additional usernames and passwords.
There are two ways to log in via Clever:
1. Directly from Clever: If ClassForThat is partnered with your school or district, you will see the ClassForThat logo within the Clever platform. Simply click on the logo, and you will be redirected to ClassForThat.
2. Via our Login Page: Click the 'Log in with Clever' button on our login page. This will prompt you to enter your Clever credentials to access ClassForThat.

TEACHERS
Classes that you teach to students that you referred have a 0% commission. Classes that you teach to students referred by others have a 20% commission.
The balance of payouts for all classes taught satisfactorily in the prior week will be released by Tuesday (GMT +0) and reflected in your Dashboard. You can transfer funds immediately to your payout account, where you can keep them or download them to your bank account or debit card. Fund transfers to bank accounts take between 1 and 3 days.
Fees charged by the credit card processor will be transferred to the teacher at cost. This cost is currently 3.3% plus USD $0.30 per transaction.
You worked hard to get your students and should not be penalized for bringing them onto the platform, so we do not charge a commission for these students. We want to be your long term partner so we do not charge you the huge commission of other platforms. We provide many benefits and believe that 20% is a fair commission to bring you new students and help you manage your business. Furthermore, you can price your classes so that you define the exact amount you want to receive from each class.
Teachers set the price for each class. You can even set different prices for students you refer vs students you get from ClassForThat. You can also set reserved classes that only specified students can buy, and you can price those separately.
Yes. You can charge students you referred a unified rate and new students brought to you through the platform a different rate. Furthermore you can reserve a class for a particular student and charge an individual rate to that student. You can also set discount rates for students who buy 5, 10 or 20 classes up front. You can also differentiate classes by level of expertise, target audience, language, and price them differently.
No. Students pay the amount set by the teacher.
Yes, absolutely! We encourage you to upload all the documents that you feel will give students a better understanding of who you are, your background, your teaching style, etc. The more you complete your profile, the more likely you are to have students interested in taking classes with you. To upload certificates, take a picture of the document and upload it as a picture.
If you are a certified instructor / teacher and/or tutor, make sure you disclose this in your profile so that you can attract students who look for these qualifications. We believe everybody has something they can teach. ClassForThat provides the opportunity for people to spread this knowledge to others. Some people would like to teach only an hour per week whereas others may see this as a full time opportunity. You decide what works for you.
We believe you know your teaching level better than we do and no online test can give a clear indication of your knowledge and teaching skills. You can select to teach at different levels for most subjects. Keep in mind there is 100% Money Back Satisfaction Guarantee for students if they encounter a teacher that does not know the subject at the level indicated.
Yes, we do. Our app is available on Google Play (HERE) and in the App Store (HERE).
Of course, you can! In fact, we encourage it. You can teach different levels of the same class and/or different classes in which you consider yourself knowledgeable. We believe people can have expertise in more than one subject.
At ClassForThat we recognize that you might teach several classes and that you want to maximize your teaching time, regardless of the class you teach. For this reason we have created TIME PERIODS. For example, if you teach Guitar and Piano, you may not care if your student buys a Piano class or a Guitar class, so you can schedule both into a Time Period. Once a student buys that time period for either class, that time period will no longer be visible to other students for either class. This feature allows you to maximize your time by putting as many classes as you teach into each time period so that all students can see your available time. To get a step by step indication on scheduling classes, please go to TUTORIALS and select or download the How to Schedule Classes link.
Of course! You can easily take classes at any time. Search and book any desired class. After you book your classes, you can see them in MY CALENDAR or in the MY CLASSES tab by selecting the To Take subtab.
Students will see your general profile and your expertise for the subject they search. They can also see which other classes you teach. We encourage you to describe your classes in detail, complete your profile and upload any certificates/diplomas, photos and videos that will help students to select you.
Yes, you can add multiple addresses in your profile if you teach from different locations. You will be able to choose your desired address when you schedule your In Person classes.
No, we will not charge a commission to you when a student you referred to ClassForThat takes a class with you, as long as the student uses your referral code when registering in ClassForThat. If that student takes a class with a different teacher, then we will charge a 20% commission to that teacher.
Please go to TUTORIALS and open or download the link HOW TO CREATE A CLASS, which will walk you step by step through the process.
This is up to you. Since you charge a fixed amount for In Person classes, there are no surcharges for driving, traffic, travel distance, gas, toll fees, parking, insurance, time traveled, shared ride costs, public transportation costs, maintenance to your transportation mode, etc. Take this into account when determining the travel distance you are willing to drive. A travel radius is only used when you schedule an In Person class that you teach at the student's location.
Students will not be able to see your class if their address is outside of your travel radius. When choosing your travel radius take into consideration which areas you want to teach. Also, when selecting your travel radius make sure you know how to get to and from the areas you have selected to cover.
Go to the PROFILE tab to change or add information to your profile at any time. If you need help creating your profile, please go to TUTORIALS and open the HOW TO CREATE A PROFILE tutorial.
If your class has never been reserved, scheduled or booked, you can delete the class. If the class has been reserved, scheduled or booked in the past at any time, but is not currently reserved or booked in the future, you can make the class INACTIVE and that will eliminate it from the schedule making it impossible to buy. If the class is currently booked at a future date, the future class needs to be canceled before the class can be made INACTIVE. Having a class INACTIVE allows you to keep the information on the class in case you ever want to make it ACTIVE again.
Yes. You can DEACTIVATE your account at the bottom of your PROFILE tab. There is no charge for you to keep the account open. Once you DEACTIVATE your account, you will have to contact us if you want to reopen your account.
Before you DEACTIVATE your account, make sure to Transfer any Balance Available for Transfer to you in your Dashboard.
No. ClassForThat is intended only for teaching and learning. Teachers cannot offer other services.
Online classes are booked like regular classes. To start teaching, login to your account and click on the yellow banner that will appear at the top with the button START CLASS.
It's ClassForThat's bidding system, which allows students to choose a class and determine the duration they need. Then, students get to submit a price that they are willing to pay for the class and duration with a short description of the key topics they want to cover in that class. If you check the Last Minute minute class option when creating your class or later when editing your class, and a student is looking for that last minute class, you will receive an email and an SMS message inviting you to teach that class if the student's proposed price is equal or above your asking price. The first teacher to accept will give the class. If you accept the class, the system will let you know if you are the first to accept, then you will need to access your account within 5 minutes and start teaching the class. To start teaching, login to your account and click on the yellow banner that will appear at the top with the button START CLASS.

By default, ClassForThat uses its own proprietary video platform which is free to anyone on ClassForThat. However, ClassForThat recognizes that some teachers prefer to teach using their personal account on ZOOM*. As such, you can select to teach using your personal Zoom* account by selecting Zoom* as your video platform on the Profile tab.
Yes. You can choose to use either the default ClassForThat proprietary video platform which is free to all users, or, if you have a personal account with Zoom*, you can select to use it by selecting Zoom* as your video platform in the Profile tab.
Yes, you can. You will have to add your PERSONAL MEETING LINK in your PROFILE. Click on TUTORIALS for a tutorial on How to add Zoom*.
Yes. If you have a FREE Zoom* account, you can schedule online classes up to 40 minutes long. With the paid account, your classes can be up to 240 minutes long.
Students will know the video platform being used when they log in to the class through ClassForThat. The START CLASS button will either open the ClassForThat video platform or Zoom* directly, depending on which video platform you chose in your PROFILE.
If the video platform fails during the class, it is your responsibility to find a way to make up the class. Students might use their Money Back Satisfaction Guarantee and reschedule a class with you, or with someone else.
Students will connect to ClassForThat. A few minutes before the class is due to start, a yellow START CLASS banner will appear at the top (for both students and teachers) in any page of their ClassForThat account. By clicking on the START CLASS button, the system will take them directly to the Zoom* login for the scheduled class.
We continuously do marketing for ClassForThat and services to attract new students. In order to increase your earnings, you need to attract and teach more students. The following steps can help you increase the classes you teach:
Be very clear in the description of your classes. Try to include as much information, pictures and videos of your class, your certificates, and anything that will attract students when they compare your class. Ensure that your profile is complete with a good picture of yourself and the ABOUT YOU section is filled out as completely as possible to ensure students get a good idea of who you are. Increase your class availability. Add times and days that students can purchase your classes. The easier it is for students to find available time from you, the more likely they are to buy your classes. Offer different classes, or the same class to different levels with different prices and target audiences. Schedule multiple classes into your time periods to ensure that when students look for a specific time, they find your availability. Register to be a LAST MINUTE 'On Demand' teacher when setting up your classes. Enable the FIRST CLASS FREE option when creating or when editing your classes, so students can book the first class for free and get to know you better and start buying from you. Enable volume discounts so students can buy more classes upfront Check if your price is competitive with similar classes taught by other teachers. If you are more expensive, make sure you are able to justify it in your description of the class and/or of your background. Promote your classes using your referral code. You can also click on the SHARE REFERRAL CODE button in your DASHBOARD to send an email to potential or current students with your Referral Code. New students you bring are commission free for you. Promote ClassForThat to other teachers using your referral code found in your DASHBOARD and be a part of our Referral System. See how our Referral System works in the FAQ's. Promote each of your classes with its own CLASS LINK, go to TUTORIALS to see how. Use social media to let your contacts know that you are teaching using ClassForThat.
Yes, they will. At the end of each class, students will get an email to rate (on a scale of 1 to 5 stars, 5 being the best, and with the option of a UNHAPPY FACE, which is when they are not happy with your class and want to apply the Money Back Satisfaction Guarantee) and they will also be able to review your class.
First, please remain calm and know that negative reviews and low ratings, although not nice sometimes happen.
Written reviews and star ratings cannot be edited, they are final. You can only learn from them.
Your best option is to read your review carefully to see what you can do better in future classes. If a student gave you a SAD FACE (unhappy face, 0 stars) rating triggering the Money Back Satisfaction Guarantee and you disagree, send us an email to hello@classforthat.com, and let us know so that we can investigate further.
Go to class EDIT to select which written reviews you want to showcase in your class profile.
Great teachers must be patient and nice to students. Remember, students are taking the class because they do not know it, so an excellent teacher focuses on how to make them learn. These teachers always get the best reviews.
Please note that HATRED reviews will not be tolerated. Please contact us at hello@classforthat.com if you feel your review has indications of violence, insults, racial disparagement, profanity, sexual harassment, and/or other unacceptable language. ClassForThat will review and delete any reviews with unacceptable language and take appropriate action with the students posting such language.
Your student has a 100% Money Back Satisfaction Guarantee. If your student gives you a rating from 1 to 5 stars, you will still be paid, it means the student didn't use the Money Back Guarantee. If your student doesn't like your class and gives you a SAD FACE rating (unhappy face, 0 stars), ClassForThat will investigate further and will ask you for your input on what happened in the class to understand the issue better. Your student gets full credit for the class, you will not be paid and ClassForThat will not collect a commission. It is important for the description of your class to be as accurate as possible, including ensuring that you can teach at the level you are describing, for the student to have the appropriate expectation. Meeting the expectation of the class usually leads to a positive rating. If a student gives a class a SAD FACE rating, the student will have to provide additional information which will give you feedback as to why your class was disappointing.

Nothing. Joining ClassForThat is FREE. We will not charge you a commission when you teach students you bring to ClassForThat, as long as they use your referral code when they register. You will be charged a 20% commission when you teach new students who come to you through our platform.

You can transfer funds in your BALANCE AVAILABLE FOR TRANSFER found in your Dashboard at any time that you have a balance of more than US $7.00. Each week on Tuesday (GMT +0) the EARNINGS APPROVED FOR NEXT PAYOUT (found in Dashboard Details) of all satisfactorily taught classes from the prior week will appear in your BALANCE AVAILABLE FOR TRANSFER. You choose whether you want to release your balance to your account or wait until you have a larger balance to transfer. Your funds safe and there for whenever you want them.
We work with STRIPE and PAYONEER. You must set up an account with one of these two payment processors in your PROFILE, by clicking the PAYMENT button, then select the country where you want to get paid and choose a payment processor, then follow instructions. Depending on where you live, you may have the option of both or only one of these payment processors. Then, you can link your payment processor to your bank account or debit card.
Go to your DASHBOARD to find out your total earnings as well as earnings per student, per class in graphic form and filtered by periods.
Payoneer is one of the payment processors that we use to transfer your earnings. Depending on the country where you live or have your bank account, you may be able to choose Payoneer to process your payouts. Payoneer charges a flat US $1.50 fee for every transfer to your account. This fee is the same regardless of the amount you are transferring. Hence, to pay the smallest percentage in fees, you may want to wait to transfer the largest balance possible. The minimum amount we can transfer to your Payoneer account is US $7.00. The minimum amount you can download from your Payoneer account to your bank account is US $25.00 in the United States and US $50.00 outside of the United States. You can request a Payoneer Debit card which you can use to pay any amount against your Payoneer balance.
EXAMPLE: If you make a transfer of US $100.00, you will receive US $98.50 after the US $1.50 Payoneer transfer flat fee for each transfer. If you make a second transfer of US $100.00 in the same month, you will again receive US $98.50. Hence, after two US $100 transfers in a month, you will receive a net amount of US $197.00.
Stripe is one of the payment processors that we use to transfer your earnings. Depending on the country where you live or have your bank account, you may be able to choose Stripe. Stripe charges a one-time flat monthly US $2.00 fee for any amount of transfers in any month. In addition, Stripe charges 0.25% plus US $0.25 for each transfer. Transfers will go immediately to your Stripe account and then automatically to your bank account or debit card over the next 1 to 3 days, depending on your bank/debit card.
EXAMPLE: If you make a transfer of US $100.00, you will receive US $97.50 after the one-time US $2.00 Stripe monthly flat fee and the 0.25% and US $0.25 fee for each transfer. If you make a second US $ 100 transfer in the same month, you will receive a net amount of US $99.50, as you will not be charged again the US $2.00 one-time monthly fee, but you will be charged the 0.25% and the US $0.25 fee per transaction. Hence, after the two transfers you will have transferred US $200 and received US $197.00.
The total of Future Earnings and Earnings Approved for Next Payout.
FUTURE EARNINGS are earnings net of commissions and credit card fees that you can expect to receive after the classes are taught satisfactorily.
Classes in which your student gave you a rating of 1 to 5 stars and not a SAD FACE (0 stars). The class is also deemed to be satisfactory if the student doesn't review the class within 48 hours after the class finishes.
EARNINGS APPROVED FOR NEXT PAYOUT show the net amount of earnings, excluding commissions and fees, that will be transferred to your BALANCE AVAILABLE FOR TRANSFER in the next pay period.
This amount is the total accumulated from classes taught satisfactorily and not previously transferred to you, which is available for immediate transfer to your account, subject to the US $7.00 minimum transfer requirements set by the payment processor.
At ClassForThat you are always in control. You have the option of deciding when you want to transfer your balance, which you can find in your Dashboard. You may want to transfer right after the funds become available on Tuesdays (GMT +0) or wait until you have a higher balance, so the transfer fees are smaller as a percentage of your transfer.
Yes. Our payment processors require a minimum of US $7.00 in order to be able to transfer you. If your BALANCE AVAILABLE FOR TRANSFER is less than US $7.00 in ClassForThat, wait until you have a Balance of more than US $7.00 to transfer your funds.
You will get paid in US Dollars, which is the only currency used in ClassForThat. Your payment processor may convert the US Dollars to local currency when depositing it to your local bank account.
No. ClassForThat does not provide W2's for tax purposes to teachers in the US because teachers are independent and do not work as employees of ClassForThat. ClassForThat is a platform which allows independent teachers and students to connect. Likewise, we do not provide tax reports for any country outside of the US.
We are here to help you get set up and succeed as an independent teacher. If you have any questions or issues, please feel free to contact us via email at hello@classforthat.com or by scheduling a free Live Support session. You can find the link for scheduling Live Support in the bottom footer of all the ClassForThat pages. Scheduling Live Support follows the same steps of buying a class (at no cost). Remember to get into your account and select Start Class the day you scheduled your Live Support.
Ratings (stars) that students give you after each class are averaged and rounded up. Star ratings are per class and not per teacher, you might have a great class with 5 stars and another with 4 stars.
Our star rating is from 1 to 5, where 5 is the highest. Below a 1 is a SAD FACE, which provides a credit back to the student. Please note, if the Student rated you with a SAD FACE, we will return the money to the student, you will not get paid for this class, and ClassForThat will not collect a commission. It is important that you take these very seriously, as they imply that the student was not satisfied with the class, either because you did not show up, or because you did not meet their expectations in some way, such as the level of your teaching or your behavior. All SAD FACE ratings will be investigated by ClassForThat to determine the reason.
No, ClassForThat does not provide teachers with marketing materials. Teachers get a referral code in their DASHBOARD which they can use to bring in new students onto the platform. We don't charge teachers a commission on new students that they bring to ClassForThat, as long as they use the teacher's referral code when signing up to ClassForThat. Teachers can share their referral code in their social media pages to let other potential students and/or teachers know about their presence in ClassForThat. We encourage teachers to also do old school advertisements in their school campuses or areas of influence.
No. Teachers are not ClassForThat employees, teachers are independent contractors that use ClassForThat to market themselves to students. Teachers can teach any class they want, set any price for these classes, offer them at any time and for any duration they want and are not required to use a company uniform. Teachers' opinions and materials are strictly theirs and not the opinions and materials of ClassForThat.

No. Teachers are independent contractors, so they are not required to wear a uniform. Teachers need to dress appropriately and professionally for the class they are teaching.
Yes! Our Referral System is easy and provides many benefits to teachers. Teachers share their referral code located in their DASHBOARD. The referral code can be used to attract new students and new teachers alike. No commission will be charged from the teacher when they teach students who registered using their referral code. Teachers will also get a percentage of the commission that referred teachers (those teachers who registered using the referral code of the teacher who referred them) generate ClassForThat for a 6-month period. Furthermore, teachers will also earn a percentage of the income generated by teachers referred by those teachers, and those referred by the next level, a total of three levels down.
No. You are only allowed to have one account at any time. Contact us if you have issues opening your account.
Yes, we do. We love that teachers can teach anything they want using our platform, but we value the integrity of our teachers and of academic institutions. Yes, we do. Teachers improve their ranking in searches based on their star ratings, the number of classes taught, the number of classes available in their calendar, and the percentage of their profile completion. The more you teach, the higher your star rating, and the more complete profile you have, including having a good picture of you, the higher your class will appear in a search. Students can sort and filter for other characteristics, including price, level, target audience, language in which the class is taught and more.
Yes, a higher-class rating will improve your rank in our system. Teachers with higher star ratings and who have taught more classes are listed higher in the class search results.
Please note: a low average rating could get you deactivated as a teacher from ClassForThat. If you have an issue with a student, please email us at hello@classforthat.com explaining the issue in detail.
Each person sees classes in their own time zone, so just schedule your classes in your time zone.

With our cancelation policy, you get paid 100% if students cancel less than 24 hours in advance and 50% if less than 48 hours in advance.
If students cancel more that 48 hours in advance, they get a full refund.
When a class is canceled your schedule shows the newly available time period right away so that other students can book it, making it more likely for you not to lose that time.
You can cancel a class up to one minute before the class, but this will automatically return the funds to the student. If you do cancel the class, you are expected to communicate with the student regarding the cancelation.
No. You should not expect and should not ask for tips. You set the price for your classes, so there is nothing extra you should charge or expect from the students. Set the price of your classes accordingly. Students may contact us if a teacher asks for a tip.
ClassForThat uses only US Dollars for pricing classes and for charging the students. You will be paid in US Dollars or the equivalent in your local currency if you live outside of the US. Please review our payments processors (STRIPE and PAYONEER) by clicking PAYMENT in your PROFILE. You must price your classes in US Dollars and can't use a different currency.
If students cannot find a convenient time period from a teacher, or if a teacher has 0 available classes, students can Request Availability. This function sends an email to a teacher indicating that a student is interested in taking a class, but the time periods currently scheduled do not meet their availability. As such, they can suggest up to three different time period options, including date, time and duration. The requests can only be for time periods at least 4 days in advance, to give teachers an opportunity to get organized if they choose to accept the class request. Teachers will receive an email indicating the request and by clicking on the CHECK AVAILABILITY REQUEST button will see the student's request with up to 3 available time periods requested. Teachers can only accept one time period requested, or indicate that they are not available for any of the time periods requested.
- If teacher accepts a time period, the system will verify the teacher's calendar and show one of the following options:
- Available: The system automatically added the class in the time period and the student will get an email to book the class. This class is a reserved class, so only the student who requested it will be able to see and book it.
- Class Scheduled in Time Period: The teacher has a class scheduled during or overlapping the TIME PERIOD requested. However, the class in that time period has NOT been bought. When the teacher accepts the request, the overlapping class will be canceled and a new reserved class will be scheduled so the student can book the class.
- Class sold in TIME PERIOD: The teacher cannot accept the proposed time because the teacher already has sold a class at that time, or the class sold overlaps with the TIME PERIOD requested. If the teacher cannot accept any of the requested times, the teacher can reject the Availability Request and the student will be informed that these times do not work for the teacher.
- BREAK set that day: The teacher cannot select one of the proposed Time Periods because a previous BREAK was set.
Yes.
At ClasForThat we believe that teachers can engage with multiple students in different activities effectively. To provide this option, we also offer group classes, with a maximum capacity of 100 students, either online or in person. To conduct group classes online, you need to select Zoom* as your preferred video platform in your PROFILE. For In Person Group Classes, the classes must take place at a teacher location, meaning that students will travel to the location of your choice.
To start your online group class, click on the yellow horizontal bar that appears a few minutes before class time at the top of any page in ClassForThat's website or in the app. Students will also click on their respective banners to connect to the class. Since you will be using the Zoom* platform, you will need to let them in.
Yes. This feature has been added so that new students can meet you and get a better understanding of your class and teaching style. You can go over any questions and cover what they can expect from your class. This free first class is your chance to convince new students that they will learn and enjoy your class. It can only be offered to new students in their first class. This feature is OPTIONAL and you must enable it to offer it. To enable the First Class Free for new students simply select YES when asked during the creation of your class. Alternatively, if you already created your class, go to MY CLASSES, under CREATED CLASSES, in the upper right corner of your class box, enable this feature in green color or disable it in red.
Note: This feature works only for new students on their first time taking the class that you have enabled. Students that already took the first class and referred students will see the prices you set during class creation.
You can set discount rates for students who purchase 5, 10 or 20 classes in advance. When creating or editing your class, there will be a section where you can choose to offer volume discounts by selecting the percentage discount you want per volume. Simply check the box and choose the percentage discount you would like to give for each option.
To reserve a class for a specific student at a future date, go to 'Schedule Class' by clicking the '+' sign in the top right menu bar or selecting the 'Schedule Class' button in the 'My Calendar' tab. Follow the prompts to select the date(s), start time, and class duration. When asked whether to make the class 'PUBLIC' or 'RESERVED,' select 'RESERVED.' This option offers the class exclusively to a specific student (and their parent/guardian, if you add their email), ensuring only the intended recipient can view and book the class. You can also adjust pricing for reserved classes.
The Last Minute Reservation feature allows teachers to reserve online classes for students seeking immediate learning sessions. This functionality enables you to set up a class that a specific student can book and start within five minutes, providing an efficient way to fill gaps in your schedule with eager learners. When you make a Last Minute Reservation, you make it available for immediate booking. Be prepared to begin teaching promptly once a student books your class.
A Last Minute Class allows students in need of immediate tutoring to initiate the request for a class specifying their desired duration and price. The first teacher to accept is then responsible for teaching the class right away. This offers a way for students who need help right away to reach out to teachers who might be available at that time.
A Last Minute Reservation, is initiated by you, the teacher, for a specific student. It provides the flexibility to schedule a class immediately to be taken within the next five minutes. When creating a Last Minute Reservation, you set the class duration and can adjust the price for this specific session, if desired. This feature can be helpful when you already have a student that you are communicating with outside of ClassForThat and you need to teach right away.
This feature allows students to propose a new date and time for rescheduling their booked class up to 4 days before the original date. Once a proposal is submitted, you'll have 48 hours to accept or decline it. If you accept, the class will automatically update to the new date and time, and both you and the student will receive a confirmation email. If you decline, the class remains on its original schedule, and the student will be notified. For same-day time-only changes, students can use the Modify Class Time feature, click HERE for more information.
When a student submits a rescheduling proposal for a new date and time for their booked class, you'll receive an email with a link to review the proposal. Alternatively, you'll also see a message in your ClassForThat account prompting you to review the proposal. You have 48 hours to accept or decline it. If you accept, the class will be rescheduled to the new date and time, and a confirmation email will be sent to both you and the student. If you decline, the class will remain on its original schedule, and the student will be informed.
Only students can initiate a date/time change for a booked class. If a student needs to reschedule, advise them to go to their CALENDAR, select the class day and click the “calendar” icon next to their class in their DAILY AGENDA. They can choose a new date and time and submit the proposal, which you’ll have 48 hours to review. If no response is given within 48 hours, the student will be notified that the proposal couldn't be accepted, and the original schedule will remain.
Modify Class Time allows students to propose a new time for their booked class on the same day. After you agree on the new time with the student, they will go to their DAILY AGENDA in the CALENDAR, click the “clock” icon next to the class, and select the new time. They will then click SEND TOKEN TO TEACHER. You'll receive a token via email and SMS, which you'll need to share with the student. Once the student enters the token, the class will automatically update to the new time in both calendars. This feature is designed specifically for last-minute, same-day adjustments and can only be initiated by students.
When a student changes the time, the entire Time Period moves to the new proposed time. For example, if a class is rescheduled from 4 pm–5 pm to 5 pm–6 pm, all other classes in that Time Period (e.g., ALGEBRA, PIANO, SPANISH) will shift to 5 pm–6 pm, leaving the original slot (4 pm–5 pm) empty. To reopen the original time for bookings, you must manually add new classes for that period.
Yes, if the proposed new time doesn't work, you can decline. Communicate directly with the student to decide whether to keep the original time or cancel the class. If more than 4 days remain before the class, the student can also use Modify Date/Time to propose a new date and time, click HERE for more information.
The Set A Discount feature lets you offer discounts on your classes, making them more attractive to students. When you set a discount, students will see both the discounted price and the original price crossed out, along with a “Special Offer %” icon to highlight the promotion. This feature increases visibility and can boost bookings.
To set a discount, click on the “+” sign at the top right of any page and choose “Set Discount.” Select the class you wish to discount, set a date range for when the discount is active (this applies to the purchase date, not the class date), and choose your discount percentage. Note that discounts must be set individually for each class, so if you want multiple classes discounted, repeat the process for each one. Students can filter for discounted classes, which helps in reaching a broader audience during the promotion period.
After the set date range for the discount ends, the class price will automatically return to its original rate, and the “Special Offer %” icon will be removed. Purchases made after the end date will no longer receive the discount.
Displaying awards and certificates enhances your profile, building trust and credibility with students. This may increase students' interest in your profile and lead to more bookings.
To add an award or certificate, first enter its description, the place it was awarded, and the date. Save your profile, then return to upload an image or PDF for each entry.
Yes, you can add as many awards and certificates as you'd like. For each entry, provide the details, save, and then upload an image or PDF to complete the listing.
Students can view your awards and certificates when they search for classes and show interest in any of your offerings. This visibility may help students feel more confident in booking with you, as it showcases your achievements and expertise.

We have LAST MINUTE online classes that work On Demand, whenever you need a class. Search for the class you want, then select the LAST MINUTE button and make your request with the duration you want, the price you are willing to pay and the key topics you want to cover in that class. Keep in mind, all prices in ClassForThat are in US Dollars, including the amount you are willing to pay. Teachers will be contacted and once one accepts, proceed to pay (you can't select the teacher), then you can start taking your class online within the next 5-10 minutes. Teachers do. They are independent contractors and therefore set their own hours and their own availability. If no teachers are available at a time period you would like, you can request availability to your preferred teacher two ways:
- If the teacher is available, you can book classes directly from their calendar. If you can't find a time period that works for you, then click the REQUEST AVAILABILITY link below the FINISH button, and enter up to 3 time periods that work for you. A message will be sent to the teacher and the teacher should respond within 48 hours. If the teacher accepts one of your proposed time periods, you will get an email to continue the process and book the class. If the teacher declines your request, you will also get an email, so that you can send the teacher other options or find another teacher.
- If the teacher doesn't show any AVAILABILITY, click on the REQUEST AVAILABILITY button and enter up to 3 time periods that work for you. A message will be sent to the teacher and the teacher should respond within 48 hours. If the teacher accepts one of your proposed time periods, you will get an email to continue the process and book the class. If the teacher declines your request, you will also get an email, so that you can send the teacher other options or find another teacher.
Yes, we do. We love that students can learn anything they want through teachers using our platform, but we value the integrity of our teachers and of academic institutions. Students are NOT permitted to take classes for the purpose of cheating, or to break the law, or to bypass the honesty policies of the student's school, university and/or workplace. We reserve the right to deny and/or deactivate access to our platform to students and teachers who do not abide by this policy.
Teachers set their own prices for their classes. Teachers can vary prices based on many different factors, including level taught, experience, target audience and language, among others. As a student you get to pick the teacher that is right for you considering the price, description of the class, star rating, profile of the corresponding teacher, etc.
Yes, you can. At the end of each class you will get an email asking you to rate and review your class with that teacher.
At the end of each class you are asked to rate the class. You can rate the class on a 1-5 scale, where 5 is outstanding and 1 is not great. However, you also have the option of rating the class with a SAD FACE. This last option indicates that you do not think this teacher deserves to get paid for the class you just received from them. All SAD FACE ratings will be investigated by ClassForThat to determine the reason. You will be credited the amount you paid for the class and will be asked to explain in detail why this teacher did not meet your expectations. You can use the credit towards the purchase of any other class. Your money stays as a credit in your ClassForThat DASHBOARD account until you use it. If you rate your class with any score between 1 and 5, your teacher will be paid and you can't use the Money back Guarantee.
Yes. Students get a referral code in their DASHBOARD. Students can share the referral code with their friends, family, school or university, and other teachers, etc.
As an adult taking classes directly, we ask that you only open one account. If you are a parent, we recommend you create a separate account for each of your children to manage their schedules separately, but you can also book their classes directly from your account too. Children under 13 can't have their own accounts. Please take common sense precautions when meeting teachers in person and online. If you are scheduling classes for your underage child, you need to have a trusted adult monitor each class at all times.

Yes! Absolutely! We encourage you to teach a class if you have an expertise, skill and/or knowledge that you are willing to share with other people. You are not required to be a certified teacher to give a class but make sure you establish the appropriate teaching level so that you have satisfied students. You can teach as many classes per month as you would like.
Yes, but we do not recommend it. Any past classes and records will be lost whenever you deactivate your account. There is no charge to have your account open and you might need to take a class in the future, so it is best to leave it open.

To take an in person class, make sure you have an address in your profile. In Person classes connect students with teachers within the same area. When buying the class, you will find out how far the teacher is from you, if you choose a class at a teacher location. If you choose the class at your location, you will only be able to see teachers willing to come to where you are located. You may also need materials relevant to the class such as an instrument, sporting equipment, pencil, notebook, computer, etc. If your In Person class is at the Teachers location, make sure you arrive on time. When students find a class from a teacher that they would like to take but cannot find a convenient time period from the teacher's existing scheduled classes, students can use the Request Availability function. This feature informs the teacher the student's preferred times and if the teacher is available at those specific time periods, the teacher can respond by creating a Reserved Class for the student to book and buy. Students can request up to 3 different time periods, and requests must be at least 4 days in advance. Teachers can only accept one time period. Students receive an email within 4 days of their request with the teacher's response and can book and buy the reserved class if the teacher accepts. The Request Availability function is displayed as a button after selecting a specific teacher in the search section or after clicking the Check Availability button to see the teacher's calendar for that class.

To book this class, follow the 'Book Now' link in the message. If you access your account without booking through the email, you will see pop-up messages informing you of the reserved class, which you can book by clicking on the Book Now button and following the payment steps. If a teacher sends you a Last Minute Reservation, it means you can start the class right away. To book this class and start learning within the next 5 minutes, simply follow the 'Book Now' link provided in the communication. Be ready to start immediately after the booking has been completed.
As a student you can request a Last Minute Class when you urgently need tutoring. You inform potential teachers a basic description of what you need, how much time you would like to have and what you are willing to pay for the session. The request goes out to all teachers who teach the subject specified and the first one to accept it will begin the class immediately. This option does not allow you to select the teacher, but rather the first available teacher will teach you.
In contrast, a Last Minute Reservation is issued by the teacher you already know, specifically for you, to address a need for an immediate class. The teacher sets the duration and price of the class. This feature allows flexibility in scheduling between teachers and students.
This feature lets you propose a new date and time for your booked class up to 4 days before the original date. Once submitted, your teacher has 48 hours to respond. If accepted, your class will automatically update to the new schedule, and you'll receive a confirmation email. If declined, the original date and time will remain, and you'll be notified by email.
To reschedule, go to your CALENDAR and select the class day. In the DAILY AGENDA, click the “calendar” icon next to the class, choose a new date and time, and submit the proposal. If declined, the original schedule will stay, and you'll be notified.
For last-minute, same-day time changes, first confirm the new time with your teacher. Once agreed, go to your DAILY AGENDA in the CALENDAR tab, locate the class, click the “clock” icon, choose the new time, and click SEND TOKEN TO TEACHER. Your teacher will receive a token via email and SMS. After your teacher shares the token with you, enter it to confirm the change, and your calendars will automatically update to the new time.

You can easily find discounted classes by using the filter feature. These classes will display both the original price (crossed out) and the discounted price, along with a "Special Offer %" icon.
No, discounts only apply if you purchase the class within the teacher's specified discount date range. After the offer period ends, the class will return to its regular price, and the discount will no longer be available.
Classes with special discounts will display a "Special Offer %" icon, the original price crossed out, and the discounted price next to it. You can also filter for classes with discounts using the "Classes with Discounts" filter while browsing.
You can view a teacher's awards and certificates in the class description when searching for their classes, but only if the teacher has uploaded them.
Awards and certificates give you insight into the teacher's expertise and accomplishments, helping you choose a teacher with recognized achievements.
If a teacher hasn't uploaded any awards or certificates, there are still many other details on their profile to help you decide if they're the right fit. Some teachers may not have uploaded their achievements, or they may not have awards, but that's only one aspect of choosing the right teacher.
